Maha Mrtyunjaya Mantra

The Maha Mrtyunjaya Mantra or the great Victory over Death mantra is the most purifying of all.  It leads one from death and illness into immortality.  It has the power to stop nightmares.  It destroys all negativity and evil.  It transforms the Heart into Gold.

Found in the Shri Rudram of the Yajur Veda to Lord Shiva, these lines have the power to heal and mend the mind.

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे

सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्

उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्

मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥

Om tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam

urvārukamiva bandhanānmṛtyormukṣīya mā'mṛtāt
